What the service is

PassAfer is a browser-local-first encryption and privacy toolkit. The display name is PassAfer; the domain is passafer.com. The slogan “Local encryption, secure anywhere” describes where computation runs. It is not a guarantee against loss.

Who can use which tools

• Guests: random-character and passphrase generation, plus copy and export
• Signed in: password strength checker, privacy tools, creating a self-destructing message, file encryption, vault
• Self-destructing message read page: public for recipients, no account

Visiting a sign-in-required tool while signed out shows a sign-in prompt rather than failing silently.

Accounts

Credentials are username and password. The username is not an email; it must be 3–32 characters, start with a letter, and use only letters, digits, or underscores. You are responsible for activity under the account and for keeping the login password. We may limit or close an account for abuse, security risk, or service changes.

What you must keep

• Generated passwords, exports, and anything you paste into other software
• File Box passphrases — if lost, we cannot decrypt for you
• The full Burn-Link URL, including the key after #; loss or leak is on whoever holds the link
• Whether a secret is appropriate to share once

This site cannot restore burned content or recover tool plaintext from the server.

Acceptable use

Use the site for lawful purposes: generating your own passwords, cleaning links and text you are allowed to handle, encrypting your files, and sending one-time secrets to recipients who know they are receiving them. Do not use Burn-Link or other tools to harm others, share content you have no right to share, or disrupt the service.

Technical limits

• Plaintext from generation, audit, privacy tools, and File Box does not go to the server by default, so we cannot back it up or inspect it for you
• Burn-Link is destroyed after first read or expiry and cannot be restored
• File Box accepts a single file up to 5 GB
• This phase does not offer a public support inbox, SLA, uptime promise, or pricing plans

Disclaimer

The site is provided as-is. Browser implementations, device security, content you paste elsewhere, and how a recipient stores a Burn-Link are outside PassAfer’s control. To the extent allowed by law, PassAfer is not liable for indirect loss from using or being unable to use the site. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

Changes

We may update this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
